Privacy policy
How SpecGrid handles merchant, catalog, and storefront data.
Effective date: August 19, 2026
Data SpecGrid processes
When a merchant installs SpecGrid, Shopify provides the shop domain and authorization session required to operate the app. SpecGrid reads product information and product metafield definitions selected by the merchant. The merchant's comparison configuration is stored as Shopify app-owned data.
Storefront visitors
Product selections are stored in the visitor's browser so the comparison can continue between storefront pages. SpecGrid does not create visitor profiles or store customer birth, payment, or checkout information on its servers.
How data is used
Data is used only to provide, secure, maintain, and support SpecGrid, comply with law, and prevent abuse. SpecGrid does not sell personal information.
Retention and deletion
App sessions are retained only as needed to operate the service. Shopify's mandatory privacy requests are supported, and app data is removed when required after an uninstall or verified deletion request.
Security and subprocessors
SpecGrid uses Shopify and Microsoft Azure to provide the service. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
